CaroBowl.com was created to provide a place to interact with players, fans and have some fun promoting the SCARBRO Caro Bowl and associated clubs.  Also a place to provide free speech, anybody can become a member and post comments.  This site is still new and is going to evolve and take shape over the coming weeks.

Late last week Tennis Auckland sent an email to all participating SCARBRO Caro Bowl clubs inviting them to participant by writing blog posts, and provide content for their dedicated team page.   Now just a few days since that email we have 5 bloggers from these clubs set-up with access to blog on the site.

So look forward to some fresh new ideas coming soon!

Do you wish to write a blog on CaroBowl.com?

We are looking for people who would like to write blog posts. Maybe you are a fan who will be watching some of the matches, a player, an x-player or somebody with a view to share.  If so use the Contact Us page under the About Menu or send a direct message to @admin.

How the site works

We encourage SCARBRO Caro Bowl clubs to set-up their players as members, which we can do for them. For example you will find almost all Mission Bay and Blockhouse Bay Caro Bowl players are now members of the site.  Other Caro Bowl players are also members. Have a read of some of the member profiles for more.

Any member can create groups, either public or by invite.  Each team can create player and fan groups so that fans can easily find players and other supporters.   As the season hots up you can send messages and also follow the player profile status updates on the activity stream.

I am guessing our players may not get the 611,034 fans that Venus Williams has on twitter but it will be fun to provide some interest for the many mad keen Auckland tennis fans.

You can also follow this site on twitter, so far the extent of the excitement of the tweets has been the past two Saturday interclub weather updates.  Watch out for more action as it happens when the Caro Bowl season starts hotting up with loads of Friday night action.  Follow us on http://twitter.com/carobowltennis
